Why We Need Each Other

Right now, in my business I am dealing with a very common problem for business owners: the dreaded social media. I freakin hate that stuff! I pay someone to help me with part of it; a high school student by the way who does an amazing job. Some parts I am just figuring out on my own with varying degrees of failure.

I am not telling you this because I want sympathy or help, although I would take both if you offered -especially help. I tell you this to share that everyone has their edge; the part of their life that challenges them. The mountain they must climb that is steep and hard, and they aren’t completely sure how to navigate it. This one is mine, and it sucks for me.

Why do I deal with something I hate with a true and earnest passion? Well, because I like helping people get past the things that hold them back. It’s fun for me, and I am good at it.

Maybe that’s why we all, as people need each other so much. I have the piece of the puzzle about how to fix anxiety and weight loss (two of my specialties), and you have another piece of the puzzle that solves another world problem, and so on.

If we as people worked together more in the spirit of loving and sharing, we could solve so many of the worlds problems much more easily. However, the key is love. We need to make our occupations, even the ones that don’t seem to be about love, into an act of sharing what we have learned in exchange for someone sharing what they have learned. Often that sharing involves money, which is fine since rent requires money.

When you go into your job or business today ask yourself:

– “What problem do I solve?”

– “How can I share more in the spirit of love?”

– “How can I make the world a better place?”

Then later if you are so inclined “How can I help Jill with her social media?” Just kidding… kind of.

I know when I am cursing at Facebook for not allowing my weight loss articles, yelling at Twitter because 140 characters is too freakin short, or staring at Pinterest and thinking “WTF is this?,” that I remind myself I am doing this for love. Sometimes that works, honestly sometimes it doesn’t; but hey, it always helps me remember why I do this.

Know that I love you all and thank you for reading this.
