The Major Choice you now have to make

The Major Choice you now have to make

Right now, each of us is being given a choice. We can either sit in fear and anxiety and let that rule us or we can use this time to take positive actions that will make our life better.

The Easy Path: It’s easy to allow anxiety and fear to strip away our power and make us an immobile victim of fear. This path will also make you feel very vulnerable and tired.

The Harder Path: Decide right now that you are not a victim of anything and that no one is to blame. Decide that you are going to use this forced pause while we collectively weather this storm to create something amazing.

Harder Path Projects

Write That Book: The one that’s been kicking around in your head for a while that wants to be born. Click HERE for my free online training program to make that happen. Intuitively I see a lot of people out there who are pregnant with a book and I so badly want to see those ideas come to fruition.

Reevaluate Everything in Your Life: Many of us will be forced to reevaluate our spending choices, but it’s also time to reevaluate your career and lifestyle choices. Ask yourself if you are happy with your life now and what you could do to make it better. Spend a few minutes every day in fantasy imagining your ideal future. Let your subconscious mind show you what really matters to you and decide now to take steps to make that happen.

Clean, Clear, and Reorganize: It may be a good time to check out Marie Kondo’s show Tidying Up. I bet there isn’t one of us whose house couldn’t use a good scrub (ok, maybe just mine). Getting rid of what no longer serves you frees up energy and space for something new and better. Do that for yourself now.

Getting Healthier: One thing everyone is allowed to do is get out in nature and hike (six feet apart, of course). And, though the frozen food section may be pretty bare, every store seems to have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Use this time to create healthier exercise and eating habits. Or at the very least read a good book on health to get you inspired. I am enjoying The Sugar Brain Fix by Dr. Mike Dow. Highly recommended.

Research: Whether it’s for a new career, a new place to live, or a new idea you have, this is an ideal time to sit down and do some online learning.

Eventually we will emerge from our homes, wade across our unmowed lawns in undyed hair, and begin to heal from these events. When that happens, will you have something new and amazing in your hands, like a book or a new business idea? Or will you emerge having used all the antacids in the house trying to stave off your first ulcer?

I would recommend the harder path; it’s much more fun and satisfying. But ultimately it’s up to you. Know that you are loved no matter what you end up deciding.
